Art Heals

Art has the power to transform, to illuminate, to educate, inspire and motivate” Or  Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else.

Can colours soothe a child’s senses? With increased screen time and uncertainty about how

children will cope up with the new normal, it is natural that parents will get anxious. A little focus on the importance of engaging children in Art will help.

“Fluidity of colours help emotions to flow along.” The art that children create can give a glimpse into how they are processing their current reality — one that is spent  cooped up at home, away from friends and school. The children are deeply connected with the environment and will soak in the energy and feelings from the colours around them. Let them paint freely .  Messing with water colours will liberate all the pent-up emotions. The colours flow like emotions and give way to create a ‘colour story’. Art comes from the heart and so it helps the child to express their emotions — fear, sadness, anxiety, anger — all working actively in the subconscious mind. Engaging in creating art work will help children to become more self-aware, and to findresolutions. It will also help in developing social skills, reducing anxiety, increasing self-esteem, and managing behavioral problems
